WORKSHOP AT COPENHAGEN ARCH. SCHOOL by David A. Garcia
David A. Garcia
Introduction:
If there is anything that architecture has tried to avoid through out its history, it has probably been movement, that is: buildings should not move. Nonetheless, and especially since the middle of the last century, we find more and more examples of, if not buildings that move, at least huge parts of them expressing dynamics. Some even consider various types of transport methods as architecture; after all, a 747 on a transatlantic flight carries, feeds, entertains, and sleeps more people than most hotels.
